Colleen Pendergast was amazing at bringing this book to life. She has the perfect voice for each character. It certainly is above and beyond the normal audiobook experience.

I hope she is working on Book 4.

I already loved the book.... But got the audiobook as I thought it could be interesting and wanted to support such a good author.
I now have the set.
These are brilliantly read, with fantastic accents (not an easy task) and bring the characters to life. I've actually found I notice things I hadn't picked up when I was reading the book.
Plus, I can listen in the car for when doing chores, don't have to put the book down!
I'm now an audiobook addict!

This review is for people who hate audiobooks

I’m not a fan of audiobooks. They never sound like they do in my head or say things in a way or accent that irritates me to violence! I have read this series in kindle format and it’s one of my current re-reads. Honestly I bought the available audiobooks because in the sample I heard it didn’t sound awful and I wanted to be supportive of the author. So as you can probably tell by now I wasn’t expecting a lot, it’s an audiobook and they’re never as good as my head and there’s way too much consistently that annoys me.

Except these audiobooks are the exception to my I hate audiobooks rule. The narrator (Colleen Prendergast) is phenomenal and manages incredibly well with all the different accents as well as getting the nuance of tone across. The books come out really well and they’re about the only audiobooks I have genuinely enjoyed and listened to one after the other all day til I finished them. Between Linzi Day’s writing and Colleen Prendergast’s narrating these are probably the only audiobooks I would 100% recommend. I genuinely loved them.

So if like me you hate audiobooks you’ll likely really enjoy these. I think the only thing I would change is actually saying certain acronyms in full rather than in text speak but honestly that’s minor and the only thing that annoyed me which really is nothing at all. So go and buy them they’ll make you happy.
