Just discovered audiobooks. Have always been a voracious reader and have all of the Gretna Green books. Now I can enjoy both the books and the quilting I do together. I usually get lost in the audiobook and my quilting to the detriment of everything else.

Love, love love these audiobooks! I read the originals and took advantage of the bundle to get the first three books in audio format. Colleen Pendergrast does a great job narrating. I picked up lots of details that I missed (or forgot) from when I read the books. Fervently hoping the next books in the series are already in production for audio versions! Thanks, Linzi, for many enjoyable hours in Gretna Green and the Gateway.

I can't say enough good about these books and the audio versions. I love audiobooks. But sometimes the narrator is just ... awful. These are great. Enjoyable. I'm on my fourth time through already.

I can't wait until the rest of the series comes out on audio.

Excellent! I love this series and have read all the books a few times so it was wonderful to hear the books! Colleen Prendergast does an excellent job with all the different characters. It was great to hear the words and names instead of trying to imagine how these names were said. I'm looking forward to the next book and for the rest of these books to make it to audio format. I’ve never been that interested in audiobooks because I love reading. I was tempted by the bundle special to give it a go and am so glad I did. The Midlife in Gretna Green series is one of my all-time favourites that I keep coming back to, and I’m already on by second round of listening to the audio books. Colleen’s reading brings the characters to life in a different way and each time I read or listen, I pick up something new that I had previously missed. I also like hearing the proper pronunciation of some of the words and names that I’m not familiar with in Australia. Thanks so much Linzi!

I have read the books a few times round... and then I listened to them! Just wow Linzi! I know the story because of that many re-reads so how surprised was I when the audio still made me laugh, well up and smile like a crazy person. And the accents... you have nailed it! I loved this! Thanks!

I don't hand out five-star reviews lightly, but Linzi Day's Midlife Recorder series has become one of my all-time favourite audiobook experiences.
The stories are wonderfully original, blending cosy fantasy, Scottish charm, Celtic magic, humour, mystery and genuine heart. Niki is a refreshingly relatable heroine whose journey of starting over in midlife feels both believable and inspiring. The supporting cast is unforgettable—from the delightfully eccentric characters to the magical house and talking cat—and they quickly become friends you don't want to leave.
While I don't usually listen to books I did love the audiobook narration. The narrator captures every character with warmth, humour and emotion, making each one instantly recognisable. The Scottish accents add so much authenticity and atmosphere without ever becoming difficult to follow. I found myself looking for excuses to keep listening—whether walking, driving or doing chores—and was disappointed whenever I had to press pause.
Linzi Day has created a world that is comforting, magical and surprisingly profound. There are laugh-out-loud moments, touching friendships, intriguing mysteries and enough twists to keep you eagerly moving from one book to the next. The balance between cosy comfort and genuine adventure is pitch perfect.
If you enjoy character-driven fantasy, found family, clever humour and stories that prove life can begin again at any age, this series is an absolute gem. I can honestly say these audiobooks have brightened countless hours for me, and I recommend them without hesitation. I'm already looking forward to every new visit to Gretna Green.

I love the bundle. I have read all the books and love them. In the audio Colleen brings the characters to life with accents and emotion. Who doesn’t love magic, teleportation and a house that provides everything you need ( well almost). The variety of the kingdoms and history blended in is great!

I love these books. I visit them often. I really like that there are issues that stretch the characters into fuller people. They learn & grow. Sometimes regress but generally grow. I love them!

Love reading the books (over and over), now I can listen til the coos come home. Colleen is such a wonderful narrator with wonderful accents bringing the series to life. I don't get chance to listen much so it will take me a while to finish all 3 books, by which time, the next one will be available (hopefully). Thank you Linzi for bringing the realms to life, and to Colleen for giving them a voice.

Amazing narrator! I only listen to audiobooks if I like the narrator. Colleen Prendergast is the perfect narrator for your terrific books. I forget they are being read by one person as each voice is individualized and fits my image of the characters perfectly. You took your time to pick the right narrator-thank you! My only regret is that I’m nearly finished with the bundle and can’t wait for the other books to be narrated. Deep gratitude to both of you.

I love this series and the audiobooks are perfect! I listen while I do housework, quilt, or anything else where it is more fun with friends. I can't wait for the rest of them to come out as audiobooks (and the remainder of the book series!) Colleen Prendergast is the perfect reader for this series.

I have read the complete series multiple times and have enjoyed them each time. Having the audio books was a delightful experience. Constance did an excellent job with the narration. Can't wait for the next one to come out.

I don't usually listen to audio books but have thoroughtly enjoyed reading this series (more than once!) and after dipping a toe in the water with the short stories decided to splash out.

I'm thrilled that I did so as I seem to be picking up things I didn't notice before and it is nice to be able to turn to listening when my eyes are tired!

The first time I heard Colleen reading I had to recalibrate the Niki voice that I had in my head but it soon settled down - I am guessing that this was partly because I wasn't an audio book aficionado before. However, a couple of chapters into Midlife and it has all settled into place.

Thoroughly recommended. Thank you Linzi, and thank you Colleen.

This Midlife Recorder series was already superior in terms of character, plot, and ability to draw the reader into the magical Gateway realms. But having them on audiobook, expertly narrated by the talented Colleen Prendergast, brings a whole new level of excellence to Niki McKnight’s journey! Colleen brings all of the characters to vivid life, and even for readers who repeatedly reread the series, the auditory experience reveals details that might have been skimmed over. And to have the bundle so that there is no delay in beginning the next book? Yes, please!!!

I have the read the entire series so far and it is one of my favourites! As a middle age woman it is a delight to have a main character my age! I love the world that Linzi has created and all her colourful characters. I was about to re read the series in time for her new release and was thrilled to see them released in Audiobook. Highly recommend!! Keep up the wonderful work Linzi!
